“WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other. WordCamps are open to WordPress.com and WordPress.org users alike.”

WordCamp Portland 2013, Ritama Web Design

When the Seattle WordCamp was happening in June Pam & I were both away at family graduations, so we are headed out on Friday for the WordCamp in Portland, OR! Woot!

WordPress has an incredible community that comes together for WordCamps all over the world. These WordCamps are a place to share, learn, discover, and network with the WordPress community. I always learn something new at these events and am happy to have attended! The events are well-organized with great speakers, good lunches and lots of WordPress swag :)

As developers, Pam and I go because this is a great way to keep current with the latest developments in WordPress and then pass on our knowledge to our beloved clients!

I’ve been to WordCamps in San Francisco, Seattle and Albuquerque, and am looking forward to my first one in Portland.
